TERPENES
Terpenes - aromatic substances, mainly found in essential oils, resins. Terpenes determine the scent of many plants and herbs. They play an immunological role in the self-healing of plants and a luring (pollinating insects) or repellent role for many animals. In botany, their properties are used to produce a plant protection products.
They have also sneaked into food products and are making a real sensation in the aromatherapy seen as one of the methods to improve quality of life, well-being. They offer the possibility to fit the aroma and its therapeutic properties to the personalised profile of the user in terms of their preferences
and needs. Also of great importance is the entourage effect that is created between terpenes
and cannabinoids, enhancing the effects of cannabidiol (CBD), which is an excellent supplement in
the fight against diseases of civilisation, as well as in taking care of external appearance (hair, nails, skin).Aromatherapy:
- use in aromatherapy or electric diffusers, humidifiers, aroma chimneys: add 4-5 drops per 400 ml of water,
- in a bathtub up to 75% full of water, add 2-6 drops,
- to enhance fragrances of herbs or flowers, soak a paper towel in terpenes and seal in an airtight jar for 24 hours.
